killy doesn't

the baby woke me at three thirty this morning
i felt really strong movement inside of me
i woke up with a smile
i woke killy up too because i thought he could feel the movement
he still can't feel it yet

i could usually make myself feel the baby moving if i lie on my back
but this time, i was lying on my left side
like all the books say
with a pillow propping up my belly
and another pillow against my back to keep me from rolling over
and i was fast asleep
and then i felt the baby
knocking on the wall of my belly
saying - hello - isn't it time to wake up yet and feed me

i have been going swimming lately
exercise for the baby
killy and i got a family membership at the ywca
i use the pool and killy uses the weight room
i hope we can be healthy role models for our baby
although my eating habits leave much to be desired
my doctor already told me to keep a diary of what i am eating
i am so paranoid

and killy is so wonderful
he always tells me i am beautiful
he wanted to see my belly sticking out last night
and made me stand there in front of him so he could see it
i hate wearing clothes right now
everything is uncomfortable and hot
so as soon as i can
i take everything off and walk around naked
so far, killy hasn't complained

killy's dad sent us a check for the baby's crib
i was a little surprised
i wasn't sure what to think when he offered to buy us the crib in the first place
now we could get the crib that we wanted
if we wanted to
but now killy is saying that we should go to jcpenney or sears or something
maybe we could find something cheaper

we shall see
