You are my big boy

You can climb on the bed now
tackling the chore
with much grunts and groans
painting with many sounds
the stages of this work
for my benefit
this I know
when you look at me triumphantly
with that special twinkle in your eye
and you victoriously shout "TUH!"
and then just as easily
turn around
gracelessly
tumble back down
to do it all again
